BUILDING YOUR CLIENT BASE AND PROFITS AS A COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIST

If you need help expanding your existing business or setting up and new business within the Complementary and Alternative Medicine field, then Kathryn can help.

With 30 years of experience in the Complementary medicine industry Kathryn has helped develop and establish a worldwide industry which today is worth over 200 BILLION Dollars from once being a little known commercial enterprise.  All this in just 30 years from quackery and joss stick waving weirdo’s to a science based natural alternative medicine industry which is safe ethical and fit for purpose for the 21st century and beyond.

I’m Kathryn Plowright and over 30 years ago I developed a crippling illness which was untreatable and was deemed a hopeless case by doctors. Modern medicine made it worse and so, I  turned to Complementary Medicine and Therapies and stumbled on a life changing journey.

I started my own CAM business over 30 years ago before internet, before social media, and before Complementary Medicine was mainstream. No one I knew had heard of it. No one I knew practised it, all I knew back in the 90’s was Queen Elizabeth Second swore by it and Princess Diana was a devotee – surely there had to be something in it?

WHO NEEDS MENTORING?

If you are a Complementary practitioner or have a business or want to start a business selling products and services in the CAM field then you need a strategy. A strategy can only be realised if the person developing it knows the industry from A -Z -  inside out  - and has been influential in promoting everything from its ethos to its regulations its pitfalls and its proven methods of success.

You may be a Yoga teacher a Nutritionist or Beauty Therapist  and trapped in a vicious cycle of working endless hours a day but can’t see how to make more revenue without putting in even more precious hours taking you away from your family and disrupting your work life balance.  After all if you don’t work you don’t earn right ? Wrong I can show you how to earn whilst taking holidays and much needed time off.

I went through this ‘Phase 1’ in my business  - I was consulting 9 or 10 hours a day on a daily basis, but that was definitive there were only so many hours in a day. Phase 2  dawned on me that if I sold products alongside my consultations instead of sending people to buy them elsewhere, I could be earning whilst sitting on a beach.  Phase 3  -dawned on me and a realisation that instead of selling someone else’s products in my store with a limited margin I could charge a greater margin by going own brand /white label with my very own brand.

Phase 4 – mentoring others on how to increase revenue and achieve a profitable business doing it the most efficient and expedient way possible without having to experience any of the pitfalls, and ensuring no money is wasted in trial and error. Introducing you to my contacts in the industry built over 30 years whether that be for the manufacturing of nutritional supplement, a range of Candles, a herbal tea range, an Aromatherapy skin balm or a Meditation room spray or anti Anxiety pulse point roll on remedy – the canvas is huge but I can help you target your product/s to help develop successful innovative brands.

The demand for Complementary Medicine is strong but don’t underestimate the pitfalls if you are new to the industry and don’t understand its workings.

WHAT DOES MENTORING INVOLVE?

Brand strategy

Brand identity

Defining your target market

Earning  clients trust.

Delivering own brand products with lucrative margins

Brand Strategy

A brand strategy lays out the exact steps you need to follow to make your business stand out in front of customers. That won’t be possible unless you know who you are, what you stand for, and who is your target audience and how to create a unique selling proposition in a busy marketplace.

Creating your brand identity

To successfully build your brand identity, you should have the ability to use imagery and words to articulate your brand vision and goals in a way that resonates with the target audience. Only complete knowledge of the industry can ensure that this will be on message.

Brand visuals

A lot of businesses make the mistake of focusing just on aesthetics. Your visuals should be appealing but they should also align with your brand strategy and identity as a whole.  Apart from your logo, other visuals will play a key role in helping you build a well-differentiated brand. They include flyers, social media templates, business cards, signage, and advertisement posters.

3. Visual style guide

• Logo guidelines - The logo is the first important visual that you will need to create your brand.

• Typography - Defines the right usage of fonts in the brand-building process.

• Colour palette - Defines the official and primary colours for your brand.

• Photography - Defines how brand images should be presented.

4. Website Development

You cannot afford to not have a website for your business. A website makes you easily accessible to your customers and increases business revenue.
